US oil exports hit 14.5 million barrels per day in May
Oil exports from the US and the Americas reached a record high of 14.5 million barrels per day in May.
This increase is attributed to the decline in crude output from the Middle East.
The rise in US exports is also reflected in the drop in transits through the Strait of Hormuz, with total ship movements decreasing by 89% from February to May.
