SpaceX valued at $2.1 trillion after IPO
SpaceX officially priced its stock at $135 on June 11, offering 555.6 million shares, valuing the company at $1.78 trillion.
The stock opened for trading on the Nasdaq at $150 per share and closed at $160.95, driven by heavy demand from investors.
This successful debut catapulted SpaceX to a $2.1 trillion market capitalization, making it the sixth-largest US company.
There are now a record 12 US publicly traded companies with a market cap above $1 trillion, including Apple, which was the first to hit this milestone in 2018.
