SpaceX debuts with $2.1 trillion valuation
SpaceX closed its first trading session valued at $2.1 trillion, marking the largest public offering in history. The company’s debut comes as investors await the Federal Reserve’s meeting on Wednesday.
The S&P 500 closed Friday up 0.5%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the session up 0.7%. The Nasdaq Composite ended Friday up 0.3%.
The Federal Reserve’s meeting will be Kevin Warsh’s first as chairman, with his post-decision press conference set to be a key read on the new regime. Manufacturing production data on Monday will also give investors a look at the physical side of the economy.
