Brad Garlinghouse accuses JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon of misrepresenting crypto legislation aimed at regulatory clarity in the U.S.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse criticized JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon for opposing the Clarity Act, a bill proposing regulatory frameworks for crypto. Garlinghouse argued Dimon’s stance misrepresents the bill’s intent to reduce compliance risks and enable stablecoin yields on platforms like Coinbase.

Dimon previously dismissed stablecoin yields and publicly criticized Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong. The Clarity Act seeks to establish legal guardrails for crypto exchanges, addressing long-standing regulatory uncertainty in the U.S. market.

Garlinghouse called Dimon’s comments either intentional misrepresentation or negligent, urging clearer reasoning behind his opposition to the legislation.
