Prometheus raises $12 billion at a $41 billion valuation, targeting AI-driven engineering for complex physical products.
Jeff Bezos’s artificial intelligence startup Prometheus has raised $12 billion in a Series B funding round, valuing the company at approximately $41 billion. The round includes investments from Bezos, JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, and BlackRock as the company exits stealth mode.
Prometheus aims to develop an “artificial general engineer” capable of managing the entire lifecycle of complex physical products, from design to production. The company employs around 150 people across offices in San Francisco, London, and Zurich, with co-CEO Vik Bajaj leading the vision.
Bezos described the initiative as a way to empower engineers, enabling smaller teams to achieve larger-scale innovations faster. The startup’s focus on AI-driven engineering could disrupt traditional manufacturing and design processes.
