Bitcoin and Ethereum drop over 2% and 3% respectively at Wednesday’s open, extending losses amid ETF outflows and macro pressures.

Bitcoin opened at $61,672.20 on June 10, down 2.3% from the prior session, and fell further to $60,937.81 by 7:32 a.m. ET. Ethereum opened 3.1% lower at $1,638.45 and declined to $1,615.22 in early trading.

The declines mark Bitcoin’s lowest opening since October 2024, with one-week, one-month, and one-year losses at 7.5%, 23.5%, and 44.1% respectively. Ethereum’s drop follows similar downward momentum, as both assets face headwinds from ETF outflows and shifting investor focus toward AI sectors.

Macro pressures, including Middle East tensions and inflation concerns, have further weighed on sentiment, preventing any near-term recovery in crypto markets.
