Silver prices fell to $66.17 on March 23, 2026, briefly trading below the 200-day moving average for the first time since April 2025. The decline followed a break below the 100-day moving average on May 15, driven by a stronger dollar and selling pressure.

The metal had been targeting a 61.8% retracement at $63.98 but failed to extend losses after slipping below the 200-day average. Instead, prices reversed higher, reclaiming the key technical level and rising $0.48 to $68.36, up 0.70%.

Technical analysts view the inability to sustain the break as a bullish signal, with resistance now at $70.87. A move above that level could shift focus toward $74.99 and the 100-day moving average at $80.59.
