State-owned ICSC invites investors to develop two 6,000 t/d plants and expand a 3,200 t/d facility by June 2026.
Iraq’s state-owned Iraq Cement State Company (ICSC) has launched tenders for three cement plant projects. Two new plants, each with a 6,000 tonnes per day (t/d) capacity, will be built in Al-Najaf and Nineveh governorates. A third project involves expanding the Hadbaa plant with a 3,200 t/d gas-fueled line for dam-grade cement.
The deadline for bids is 23 June 2026, targeting Iraqi, Arab, and specialized investors. ICSC reported February production of 676,000 tonnes, with key plants showing double-digit growth compared to 2025 levels.
The projects aim to boost local cement production capacity amid rising demand for infrastructure development.
