Eligible customers must file claims by June 9 to receive up to $102 from a class-action settlement over receipt privacy violations.

Trader Joe’s customers have until June 9 to file claims for a share of a $7.4 million class-action settlement. The lawsuit alleged the grocery chain violated FACTA by printing receipts with partial credit card numbers between March 5, 2019, and July 19, 2019.

The settlement resolves claims that Trader Joe’s exposed customers to identity theft risks, though no incidents were reported. The company denied wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid further litigation. A court hearing for final approval is scheduled for August.

Only customers who made purchases during the specified period and received affected receipts qualify for payouts, which could reach up to $102 per claimant.
