Salesforce reports accelerating growth driven by AI adoption and an $8 billion acquisition, though shares remain down in 2026.

Salesforce posted fiscal first-quarter revenue of $11.1 billion, up 13% year over year, marking an acceleration from 9% growth in the prior quarter. The gain was partly fueled by its $8 billion acquisition of Informatica, while subscription and support revenue grew 14%. Adjusted operating margin expanded to 34.8% from 32.3%.

The company’s AI initiatives, including its Agentforce platform, are beginning to show traction in financial results. Despite the growth, Salesforce shares have underperformed in 2026, reflecting broader sector weakness earlier in the year. The software group rebounded in May but pulled back recently.

Enterprise software stocks faced pressure amid concerns over AI disrupting traditional licensing models, though recent stabilization suggests shifting investor sentiment.
