Reform UK received 28% of all UK political party donations in Q1 2026 from two cryptocurrency billionaires.
Reform UK secured $9.4 million (£7 million) in Q1 2026 from cryptocurrency billionaires Christopher Harborne and Ben Delo, surpassing donations to both the Conservative and Labour parties. The contributions accounted for 28% of all political donations in the quarter.
Harborne, Tether’s 12% stakeholder and the UK’s sixth-richest individual with a $24.4 billion net worth, donated £3 million on January 23. Delo, BitMEX co-founder, contributed £4 million across two payments in January and March. Harborne previously donated £9 million in 2025, setting a record for the largest gift to a UK party from a living donor.
The donations propelled Reform UK to a £9.3 million fundraising quarter, reflecting growing financial backing from crypto-aligned donors amid shifting political landscapes.
