Benchmark Capital has secured $2 billion across two new funds, its largest capital raise to date. The funds include a $750 million early-stage vehicle and a $1.25 billion growth fund, the firm’s first dedicated later-stage strategy.

Historically, Benchmark limited its flagship fund to $425 million, adjusting only for inflation. The $750 million early-stage fund reflects rising deal sizes, while the growth fund follows a $225 million SPV investment in Cerebras, led by Benchmark partners.

The move signals a strategic expansion beyond early-stage bets, aligning with broader industry trends toward larger, later-stage investments.
