The tobacco firm reports a strong start to FY2026, citing double-digit next-generation product growth and market share gains.

Imperial Brands said it has begun its 2026 financial year strongly, driven by double-digit growth in next-generation products (NGP) and progress on a £320 million cost-saving plan. Executives reconfirmed full-year guidance for NGP expansion during a Deutsche Bank fireside chat.

The company gained 50 basis points of market share across five key markets by the end of 2025, including a 195 basis point increase in the U.S. Management emphasized a shift toward profitability-focused share metrics, particularly in price-sensitive segments.

Chief Executive Lukas Paravicini highlighted efficiency programs and technology investments, including AI, to strengthen consumer engagement as part of the Strategy 2030 plan.
