United Parcel Service will introduce time-definite air freight services between the US and Mexico in August, targeting automotive and industrial shippers. The move includes one-day, two-day, and three-day guaranteed delivery options for high-value, time-sensitive parts, expanding beyond traditional small package shipments.
The company has invested nearly $50 million to develop a freight-friendly cross-border product within its UPS Ground system. This initiative addresses growing trade complexity due to higher tariffs, regulatory changes, and rising fuel costs, supported by over 300 industry-specific experts.
UPS will operate scheduled flights to Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, supplementing air services with trucking options. The upgrade aims to provide greater speed and predictability for manufacturers navigating supply chain challenges.
