Caesars Entertainment’s $17.6 billion buyout sparks investor interest in three other casino operators as potential acquisition targets.

Caesars Entertainment agreed to a $17.6 billion take-private deal, including $11.9 billion in assumed debt, at $31.00 per share. The 49% premium to its February 25 price signals strong buyer appetite in the regional casino sector.

Golden Entertainment’s November 2025 take-private deal, which closed in April 2026, set a precedent by splitting operations from real estate and using a $1.16 billion sale-leaseback with VICI Properties. Analysts now expect similar structures for other regional players.

Shares of Red Rock Resorts and two other casino operators rose in after-hours trading as investors bet on the next buyout announcement. The Caesars deal includes a go-shop period ending July 11, 2026.
