DxSale suffered a $7.3M liquidity exploit on the BNB Chain after an attacker leveraged a backdoor in its deployer contract. The breach involved a quiet transfer of contract ownership 269 days prior, enabling withdrawal loops to extract BNB tokens.

Analysts noted 80 subsequent ownership transfers to obfuscate the trail, with the final exploit originating from wallet ‘0xC45.’ Security firm Coinsult identified a privileged setFee function and backdated lock as key vulnerabilities. The incident follows over $17 billion in crypto exploit losses tracked by DefiLlama.

Funds were partially moved through infrastructure complicating tracing efforts. DxSale has not yet confirmed the total number of affected liquidity providers.
