TIFIN.AI has set up TIFIN Australia, extending its overseas presence as it continues to build out its operations beyond existing markets.
The move comes after the company’s earlier expansion into Japan and India
The new operation is part of its wider effort to pair its AI capabilities in wealth services with local management and partnerships. TIFIN Australia has been established as a joint venture between TIFIN.AI and an executive team headed by Marcus Price, the former chief executive of Iress and Pexa, who takes the role of executive chairman. Justin Schmitt, previously chief operating officer of Iress, has been appointed chief executive.
The Australian business will run independently under Price. The company said it intends to introduce AI-based technology already in use in the US and other markets to the Australian wealth sector. Its focus will be on AI-native systems for financial advisers, wealth managers and enterprises in Australia, aimed at supporting more personalised and scalable financial advice.
