The Tema Space Innovators ETF (NASA) has surged past established space ETFs in assets under management, reaching $400 million within two months of its March launch. The fund’s edge stems from its 10% allocation to SpaceX through a special-purpose vehicle, offering pre-IPO exposure to the private company.

Competitors like the Procure Space ETF (UFO), ARK Space & Defense Innovation ETF (ARKX), and SPDR S&P Kensho Final Frontiers ETF (ROKT) have trailed despite years on the market. Analysts describe the shift as a “feeding frenzy” for SpaceX access, reshaping a once-niche ETF segment.

The demand reflects investor appetite for one of Wall Street’s most anticipated IPOs, with multiple ETFs now vying to include SpaceX exposure through indirect structures.
