Brett Blackman faces up to 30 years in prison for orchestrating a massive fraud targeting seniors and federal healthcare programs.

A Florida jury convicted HealthSplash founder Brett Blackman for a $1 billion Medicare fraud scheme involving fraudulent doctors’ orders and unnecessary medical equipment. Prosecutors called it one of the most egregious cases in state history, targeting hundreds of thousands of seniors through coercion and kickbacks.

The scheme, operated through HealthSplash Inc. and Power Mobi, generated billions in false claims to Medicare and other federal programs. Blackman’s co-conspirator, Gary Cox, was previously sentenced to 15 years in June 2025 for his role in the operation.

Acting U.S. Attorney Todd Blanche described the fraud as “industrial-scale theft” aimed at vulnerable populations. Blackman faces charges including healthcare fraud, wire fraud, and conspiracy, with sentencing pending.
