The latest drill program consisted of eight surface diamond drill holes totaling 2,410 metres, aimed at confirming an updated geological model and testing extensions of mineralized veins beyond the deposit’s current inferred resource estimate from 2013. The company also sampled 15 historical drill holes that had not previously been assayed. Among the highlighted drill results, hole OR-25-001 intersected 10.41 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 3.4 metres, including 32.4 g/t gold over 1 metre.
Hole OR-26-004 returned 46.1 g/t gold over 0.6 metres, while additional results included 5.57 g/t gold over 0.8 metres and 3.51 g/t gold over 1 metre. Historical core sampling also identified high-grade intervals, including 18.1 g/t gold over 0.70 metres in hole OG-11-008. 1911 Gold said the results support its updated geological interpretation and will be incorporated into a new mineral resource estimate for Ogama-Rockland.
