Subsea7 secures EPCI work for Vår Energi’s Goliat Gas Export project, valued between $150m and $300m, in the Barents Sea.
Subsea7 has been awarded a contract worth $150m to $300m by Vår Energi for the Goliat Gas Export project in Norway’s Barents Sea. The deal covers engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of a 12.7km pipeline and subsea infrastructure.
The project is the first under a strategic partnership agreement signed in March 2026 between Vår Energi, Subsea7, and OneSubsea. Offshore operations are scheduled to begin between 2027 and 2028, with project management and engineering already underway in Stavanger.
Subsea7 Norway vice president Erik Femsteinevik stated the contract marks a key milestone in the partnership, emphasizing early engagement and predictable delivery. The project aims to boost oil production at the Goliat field.
