Thin liquidity expected in European trading as major exchanges operate while US and UK markets remain shut for holidays.

European exchanges including Euronext and Xetra will open for trading on Whit Monday, despite it being a public holiday in Germany, France, Austria, and other countries. The Swiss stock exchange, however, will remain closed, limiting broader market participation.

Liquidity is expected to be significantly reduced as the UK observes the Spring Bank Holiday and US markets close for Memorial Day. This creates a three-day weekend for most institutional investors, leading to thinner trading volumes and potentially exaggerated price movements.

Market participants are advised to exercise caution, as any news or developments—such as progress in US-Iran relations—could trigger outsized reactions in the absence of major players. Normal trading conditions are not expected to resume until Tuesday.
