Strategy, a software firm turned Bitcoin treasury company, has accumulated 843,738 BTC worth nearly $65 billion at current prices above $76,500. The firm’s holdings represent roughly 4% of the fixed 21 million Bitcoin supply, reflecting a long-term strategy to maximize shareholder value through cryptocurrency adoption.

The company’s largest purchase to date occurred on November 25, 2024, when it acquired 55,500 BTC for $5.4 billion at an average price of $97,862. This surpassed its previous record buy by $800 million. Strategy’s average entry price now stands at over $75,700 per Bitcoin, more than seven times its initial acquisition cost.

Following the November 25 announcement, Bitcoin’s price dropped by about $4,000 to under $94,000, a 4% decline in hours. The firm’s co-founder, Michael Saylor, has pledged to continue buying Bitcoin regardless of price movements.
