ReconAfrica said a cement bond log test is scheduled to begin later this week, while downhole perforation operations and flow testing are expected to start before the end of May once the remaining service equipment arrives on site. The company said production testing could take up to 10 days for a single zone, while the overall testing program may take up to 60 days. Production casing has been set to the total depth of the well, allowing the KW1X wellbore to potentially serve as a future producer if testing results are successful.
During the quarter, the company completed an upsized financing under the listed issuer financing exemption, raising gross proceeds of about $36.8 million through the sale of 38.7 million units priced at $0.95 each. ReconAfrica also reported receiving a one-year extension to the PEL 073 Second Renewal Exploration Period, extending the exploration term to January 29, 2027.
