A majority of retired Americans are uncertain about the longevity of their savings amid persistent inflation and higher-than-expected expenses. Nearly 60% of retirees surveyed admit they do not know how long their retirement funds will last, highlighting widespread financial anxiety.

Retirees report spending an average of 16% of their monthly income on healthcare, far exceeding expectations. Many anticipated Medicare would cover more of these costs, but rising premiums and out-of-pocket expenses have left them struggling to afford essentials.

Inflation, healthcare costs, and market volatility top retirees’ financial concerns, with over a third fearing financial strain will negatively impact their health. The findings underscore gaps in retirement planning as living costs outpace savings.
