UK labour data shows mixed results
The UK labour market reading was mixed, with Average Earnings excluding bonuses at 3.4% and Including Bonus figure at 4.1%.
The Employment Change print was 148K, while the headline ILO Unemployment Rate ticked up to 5% and the Claimant Count Change was above 26K.
The GBP/USD daily chart broke through the 50-day exponential moving average and is testing the 200-day EMA, which has held every meaningful pullback since the spring lows.
