Qatar’s Foreign Ministry stated that normal traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has not resumed, despite two LNG tankers crossing the waterway. The ministry warned that energy flows remain restricted amid regional tensions and ongoing diplomatic communications to prevent escalation.

The Strait of Hormuz is a critical chokepoint for global oil and LNG shipments, with roughly 20% of the world’s oil supply passing through it daily. Previous disruptions have triggered price volatility, though markets have so far absorbed the latest developments without significant movement.

WTI crude oil prices held steady at $102.50 following the announcement, maintaining early gains without major fluctuations. Analysts note that sustained restrictions could pressure supply chains if tensions persist.
