MaxLinear (NASDAQ:MXL) reported a 295.46% one-month return, positioning it among top hedge fund-backed tech stocks. The surge follows the launch of its Trinity platform, which delivers up to 10Gbps wireless backhaul speeds for 5G networks.

The company’s URX850 system-on-chip, combined with cloud-native APIs, aims to reduce deployment costs for telecom operators. Benchmark initiated coverage on May 12 with a Buy rating and a $28 price target, citing growth in AI data center interconnects and wireless networking.

Management expects OEM products using the Trinity platform to debut in the first half of 2027, aligning with rising demand for advanced connectivity infrastructure.
