International Paper has acquired Delmarva Corrugated Packaging (DCP), a Dover, Delaware-based packaging facility, to bolster its regional presence. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the move aligns with the company’s strategy to enhance customer value and growth prospects.

In the first quarter of 2026, International Paper reported net sales of $5.97bn, up 13.4% from $5.2bn a year earlier. Earnings from continuing operations reached $76m, reversing a $124m loss in the same period last year. North America packaging revenue fell 2% to $3.6bn due to lower seasonal volumes, though operating profit rose to $248m.

Executives highlighted the Dover facility’s strategic location and customer base as key drivers, aiming to improve delivery speed and sustainability. The deal is expected to support long-term integration and operational efficiency.
