Germany’s DAX and UK’s FTSE 100 gain over 1%, while Italy’s FTSE MIB declines nearly 1% amid mixed regional performance.

European equities closed mostly higher, with Germany’s DAX up 1.24% and the UK’s FTSE 100 rising 1.26%. France’s CAC 40 advanced 0.44%, while Spain’s Ibex added 0.75%. Italy’s FTSE MIB was the outlier, falling -0.91% as selling pressure weighed on the index.

Yields on core European bonds edged lower, with Germany’s 10-year yield dropping -2.3 basis points to 3.161% and France’s declining -2.9 basis points to 3.945%. The UK’s 10-year gilt yield fell -3.7 basis points to 5.141%, reflecting a cautious start to the week.

US markets showed mixed performance, with the Dow down -0.02% and the Nasdaq falling -0.75% as tech shares dragged. Treasury yields remained little changed after last week’s volatility, with the 2-year yield down -0.4 basis points.
