ASML will supply lithography tools for Tata Electronics’ 300mm semiconductor fab in Gujarat, backed by an $11bn investment.
ASML and Tata Electronics signed an agreement to bolster semiconductor production in India, focusing on Tata’s $11bn 300mm fabrication plant in Dholera, Gujarat. The deal includes advanced lithography equipment to support the facility’s operational launch, targeting automotive, mobile, and AI chip markets.
The Dholera plant, set to be India’s first commercial 300mm semiconductor fab, aligns with the country’s push to expand its tech manufacturing base. Tata Electronics, part of the Tata Group, will invest $11bn in the project, aiming to serve domestic and global demand.
The partnership also covers workforce training, supply chain development, and joint research to ensure long-term operations. Both firms emphasized collaboration as part of broader India-Netherlands technology ties.
