Metals One has entered a partnership with DISA Technologies to assess and treat uranium mine waste at its Uravan Belt project in Colorado. The deal aims to recover saleable uranium and other critical minerals from eight abandoned waste dumps using DISA’s high-pressure slurry ablation technology, licensed by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

The Uravan project, acquired in July 2025, includes 59 mining claims near the historic Buckhorn Mine. Metals One reported uranium grades of up to 41,768 parts per million from historic waste material in September 2025. DISA will lead exploration and deployment of modular mobile plants, with Metals One receiving a gross revenue share from concentrate sales.

Next steps involve a mineral characterization program and securing permits. The initiative aligns with US government support for domestic mineral recovery, focusing on removing uranium and radium from waste dumps.
