President Trump signals support for a two-decade halt to Iran’s nuclear program and may ease sanctions on Chinese firms buying Iranian oil.

US President Donald Trump said he would support a 20-year suspension of Iran’s nuclear program if Tehran commits to a “real” agreement. The remarks follow discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping on trade and sanctions policy, including potential relief for Chinese oil companies purchasing Iranian crude.

Trump also announced China’s agreement to buy 200 Boeing aircraft, with a possible expansion to 750 planes, and “billions of dollars” in US soybeans. The decisions on Iran and China-linked sanctions are expected within days, adding uncertainty to energy and defense markets.

No immediate market reaction was reported, but the comments suggest a shift in US policy toward Iran and trade relations with China, potentially easing tensions in oil and aerospace sectors.
