NIO exceeded its delivery guidance with 83,465 vehicles in Q1, raising investor focus on profitability trends in upcoming results.
NIO delivered 83,465 vehicles in the first quarter, a 98.3% year-over-year increase, surpassing its guidance range of 80,000 to 83,000 units. The strong performance was driven by demand across its premium, ONVO, and FIREFLY brands, with March deliveries alone rising 136% to 35,486 vehicles.
The company’s delivery momentum follows a fourth-quarter report that signaled improving profitability, a key metric for investors. NIO’s All-New ES8 model also reached 80,000 deliveries within 181 days, reinforcing its market position.
NIO will release unaudited Q1 results before U.S. markets open on May 21, with an earnings call scheduled for 8 a.m. ET the same day.
