Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSM) posted a 17.5% year-over-year increase in April revenue, reaching $13.08 billion. The growth reflects surging demand for artificial intelligence chips, a key driver for the company’s performance.
Revenue for the first four months of 2024 climbed 29.9%, underscoring TSMC’s expanding role in the global semiconductor supply chain. The company supplies advanced AI chips to major clients, including Nvidia, AMD, and Apple.
TSMC also announced a joint venture with Sony Semiconductor Solutions to develop next-generation image sensors, combining Sony’s sensor design expertise with TSMC’s manufacturing capabilities.
