CEO argues coordination is Bitcoin’s bigger challenge
BitGo CEO Mike Belshe has disputed a report claiming quantum computing could break BTC by 2030.
The report was issued by post-quantum security firm Project Eleven, which warned that quantum computing could threaten BTC wallet security.
The CEO argued that the warning comes from a company whose business model depends on public concern over quantum computing.
Bitcoin’s bigger challenge is not technical, but coordination among users, exchanges, custodians, and miners to migrate to post-quantum cryptography at the same time.
