The specialty chemicals firm forecasts Q2 operating income between $32M and $33M for its Fuel Specialties segment amid mixed Q1 results.

Innospec Inc. projected Q2 operating income for its Fuel Specialties segment in the low $32M-$33M range, reflecting continued strength in the unit. The company also approved a $75M share buyback program during its Q1 2026 earnings call.

The guidance follows a mixed first quarter, where Fuel Specialties performed strongly but was offset by disruptions from a January 2026 U.S. winter storm, which impacted Performance Chemicals and Oilfield Services. Q1 results were not detailed in the call.

Management did not disclose immediate market reactions to the guidance or buyback announcement.
